In Clarksburg, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Maryland vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. We're a new customer who came in because our car was having engine troubles. Despite the sudden arrival, the mechanic had been extremely accommodating and helpful to our situation and fixed our vehicle promptly. His communication was great, and kept us in the loop about our car troubles. Great first impressions and we'd highly recommend using their services again!

I’m new in the town so I wanted to find a reliable car shop that my wife and I could rely on rather than going to the dealership that was further away and dealing with salespeople. AutoStream was great to me. Met a welcoming and friendly staff as soon as I entered the door. They were knowledgeable and understood my needs for my car. The best part was when they were able to send images of additional findings when they were inspecting my car and had easy access to it through text. Tech savvy shops are always a plus! It was user friendly and easy to understand for those who need visuals of what is being said that needs to be replaced. They were honest and best of all: NOT PUSHY for extra sales. Even if you decline it, it seems they won’t keep nagging you. They truly want what’s best for you and your car. 10/10 recommend for anyone who wants great service and communication.

I had to bring my car in due to a flat tire. AAA towed it to AutoStream and they were excellent. They had to order the tires. They had them on my car the next day. The customer care person I worked with, George, did a great job of expediting the process. He was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable.

George was extremely friendly and helpful. He kept in constant contact with me detailing the servicing of my car. I had a more pleasant experience here than at the dealership I usually go to (where I bought my car). I went in for a flat tire but ended up getting new tires as I was overdue to get a new set, so it wasn’t a shock to me since my dealership informed me so. However, I was quoted a certain price there but what George quoted me was almost $500 less. There were other maintenance service I needed to have per my car’s recommendation schedule but I’m sure it would’ve been more at the dealership. I’m also appreciative of the fact that I was sent pictures letting me know the service progression. When it came time for me to pick up my car, I wasn’t going to make it in time due to me taking public transportation to work since I didn’t have my car. George understood and provided clear instructions on how to obtain the keys to my car when the shop is closed. In the 5 years I’ve lived in the area, I can’t believe I never decided to go to here when it’s across the street from my apartment complex. I definitely will get my car serviced here again in the future (George - I promise
